Back already with another concert post? HELL yes. The only thing I adore more than concerts is my top fave concert buddy AKA my baby Ally. I’ve dragged her to so many concerts this year lol, at the end of the post I’ll get into that a bit more. Anyway, this concert was… AMAZING. Awe-striking (why does that not sound like a thing? I thought it was a thing) and actually, impressively, in my top 5 favorite concerts. Oh goodness, that’s a big achievement because this was my 27th concert. Wow. What a great concert. I really want to share with you all the few videos I took as I didn’t get any pictures, but I don’t even know if I know how to do that. I think I’m going to start uploading videos to my YouTube.
ANYWAY. Per usual, I have two looks to show you: the look I wore to the concert, and the look I created with the shirt I got from the concert. Here’s the preview, continue reading to get more in depth on this creative duo.
Fun Fact: I’m wearing the same boots for both outfits. I wanted to throw them in to show that for one, they’re versatile. For two, I just got these Dr. Martens to replace my old Steve Madden combat boots. They’re super cool, a little big on me because I got a size 8 and am usually 7.5 but I love them.
Hey who’s excited to see this? Okay I’m low key not. I gotta admit, this photoshoot suuuucks, and I’m saying that because holy crap #1 no makeup except lipstick for the entire day, and then #2 I was dumb and didn’t photoshoot before the concert so I had to do it after, hahaha so this is a sweaty, tired, 3 AM shoot, where I just really wanted to go to bed. Anyway this is called Gooey, after one of the Glass Animals biggest hits.
Funny funny, I got hungry halfway through the shoot so I got pizza, lol. These shorts I adore, they’re from Nasty Gal, I just got them and I wish I got xxs but it was sold out so I got xs and it was kind of sucky because they’re big on me, but hey, I adore them anyway. The shirt and flannel are thrift finds, and I love how it looked together but it looks kind of weird in these pictures lol. And lastly, my lipstick is Kat Von D’s Everlasting liquid lipstick in Outlaw. Although I’m currently very upset with Kat and will no longer ever support her (because her hate video towards Jeffree just to get attention), but I purchased this hella long ago and will continue to use it. Never again buying anything from you though, Kat.
Here’s a shoot that I actually am impressed with. I spent the day getting ready, prepping a YouTube video, and photoshooting, and I gotta say it was pretty rewarding. Let’s check out this look. I call it Crass Animals. Lol
So let’s start it out. I wish I could even mention where the leggings and necklace are from but those are more thrift finds, very discreet. Haha, I’m wearing my Bellami Hair extensions along with the Glass Animals logo shirt that I got from the concert.
I experimented with my makeup quite a bit for this look; I included the House of Lashes beautiful pair of lashes called Noir Fairy which I think really fit this look. My lipstick is Gerard Cosmetics hydramatte(?) liquid lipstick in Skinny Dip. I was pretty extensive with this shoot.
I included the perfume Circus Fantasy by Britney Spears because I think it’s pretty fitting for the look. Wanna hear something funny? I set the timer on my camera and sat down for more pictures, and then right at the last second I was greeted by someone I really don’t like and so this happened. I think it’s hilarious.
Hahaha. Okay so let’s wrap this up. Wanna know about my concert history? It’s actually pretty amusing.
MY TOP FIVE FAVORITE CONCERTS:
- Seether in 2015; I got to stand on the side of the stage and watch. It was pretty awesome.
- Britney Spears in 2009. BRILLIANT. This began my intense love for her.
- Lights in 2013, it was her acoustic tour and it was such an intimate venue and it was beautiful.
- Glass Animals, 2016; the energy of the band was infectious and the lights made me feel like I was tripping. The visuals totally slayed, and went so perfectly with the sounds.
- Finally, Seth MacFarlane. I saw him with Seattle Symphony, and it was so beautiful. I loved the atmosphere, and dang everything he says is so funny. If y’all don’t know, I’m like completely in love with Family Guy and American Dad.
But here’s all that I’ve been to, just because I feel like going through it all.
2007 Miley Cyrus
2009 Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, No Doubt, and Miley Cyrus again.
2010 Miley Cyrus. Again, lol
2011 Britney Spears again, Katy Perry and Selena Gomez.
2013 Lights
2014 Lights again.
2015 Lana Del Rey, The Neighbourhood, Marina and the Diamonds, A$AP Rocky, and Seether.
2016 has been so busy so far. Seth MacFarlane, The 1975, The Neighbourhood, Selena Gomez, Felly, Cage the Elephant, Korn, Demi Lovato, Gwen Stefani, Sia, and finally Glass Animals.
Don’t forget to check out my other concert posts! SETH MACFARLANE; GWEN STEFANI; and SIA.
