A month ago, I was sooo on a roll with blog posts. November was awesome for me and my blog and I was not only posting frequently, but thoroughly, and quality-ily. Quailityishful. So anyway then December everything started getting busy and crazy, however I FINALLY got around to editing these two shoots that I did (there was like a trillion pics to edit) and so now I can totally actually begin this journey that is Culture Shock, which is a half-formed idea in my head that’s about to florish. It’s derived of two equal parts, My Prerogative and Can’t Pin Me Down. Let’s see how I grow, live, create, slay and laugh at myself. After finishing this I’m actually extremely proud, and expression is best served passionately.
The very first time I saw this trend, Kylie Jenner was rocking it. I’ll include that picture. Anyway, at first I thought it was really dumb. Then I realized it was kind of cool…Like wildfire that trend did spread, being interpreted by a million different people in infinite ways. It wasn’t until now, 4 months later, finally got my chance to fw this trend! I got a big bag of used clothing and had my mind set on re-creating this trend in my own way, so I started snip snip snipping away. Got some really controversial results, but the main one is one I call Epic.
I think lately I’ve had some writer’s block in terms of writing. Maybe today it’s just a lack of coffee. I’m gonna go to the gym and get coffee then come back and hopefully I’ll have some words to say. But hey this post is going to be about this cute outfit I created a couple weeks ago, I’m so behind with posting my shoots. I called this Hazey, after the Glass Animals song.
Okay, I’m ready for this. Are you ready for this? Nothing really special about this outfit but it ended up so cute. And warm and cozy. This… is Hazey.
Hey guys! So it’s September which means we’re fading from summer to fall (in Seattle at least) and my style’s been transitioning with that flow. I’ve been doing lots of little shoots here and there and not really in-depth with any of them, but I have some to show. Last September on the 2nd I posted 3 outfits where I went from end-of-summer style to transitioning to an actual fall time outfit.
This year, I have 3 looks as well, but they’re a lot different of a direction. We start out with my shoot from the 26th called Coke-A-Cola which included this cool coca-cola shirt that I got years ago and distressed it awesomely, piled with long hair on top and jeans that have never fit me in my life until now. Then, on the 31st, we have Daydream which was such a nice night for me and how I dressed up (well not dressed up but like…wore clothes lmao) to go to dinner with my mom, and this outfit is actually a pretty classic September-vibe outfit (and it includes a new thrift find).
The last one isn’t an outfit, I just really wanted to shoot this Oops, I Did It Again shirt. The idea board I had goin in my mind for this shirt shifted a lot as I went from wanting to make it a real outfit to then deciding I wanted to do a “Shameless” (not the TV show, but the actual concept) shoot and honestly the Oops, I Did It Again part was SO perfect for this. It’s like oops, I did it again, I made a fashion faux-pas, but gladly rocking it! 😉 I actually totally love it. I took this shoot immediately after getting out of the shower on Sept 1st, and after putting on makeup and stuff I did a separate shoot but this shoot was definitely raw and fresh.
I’ve had a weird case of writer’s block these past few days. Yesterday morning I got my wisdom teeth taken out and that was kind of a curve ball, so for a solid 36 hours I laid in my bed and tried to sleep and heal and all that crap. I think I did a not-bad job, tomorrow’s day 3 but I’m not in too much agony anymore. I’m listening to some incredible songs (like Homemade Dynamite by Lorde) and typing this and getting ready to take a shower and to also finish this blog post. That’s tonight’s itinerary. And it’s actually pretty exciting. I hate having to sit on bed rest for like evs but that’s a choice, and I’m choosing now to venture into the world even if my head or gums hurt. Ya know? I wanna show you guys this one test-shoot I did, I called it July because it was just so July af. And I know I have past posts like “New-July” but that could be some sort of new July or something but this is the pure essence of my summer, the beauty of 2017, the flowers blooming in my little boat of feelings–it’s a completely different concept. I used to associate July heavily with my ex but now I’m not even really thinking about her, because life is brand new and everyday is another conversation with my intuition and the blessings of my past, present and future. Or something like that anyway. Let’s get into the shoot. THIS IS WHAT LIFE SHOULD BE LIKE!
I’ve renamed this blog post about 4 times, but I think I finally have a title that’s going to stick. Here I have two blogshoots, both using my new Givenchy lipsticks, although ones a pretty raspberry and the other is a light nude rose. Two completely different outfits, but both are representations of some new things in my life. I can’t wait until I get new clothes but for now, I have this to post!
Yay! Another day! I’m alive, I’m living, I’m learning, I’m loving, I’m listening. You know when I first started this blog it was mostly about shopping for fashion. Now it’s like…not only shopping for fashion, but taking things I already have and creating new outfits, fashion…It doesn’t have to be a bunch of new stuff I bought on a shopping spree. I have so many beautiful clothing items to work with! So, I asked Ally to give me a topic and from that I was going to build and interpret my own outfit. This is what she said:
“…Something cozy, but cute and unique. Something that would keep you comfortable and snugly, and yet if it could speak, it would scream.”
So this is what I came up with!! Tell me what you think, did I nail the idea or was I so far off? Also, if you ever want to give me an idea or topic or theme etc for me to make into an outfit, then PLEASE feel free to comment it or email me at email@example.com. I love doing this… It’s so fun! I call this photoshoot “Scamp” because I was watching an episode of Adventure Time called Scamps and it was really cute and I thought it was a cute random name.
So lately I’ve been shooting all sorts of random outfits and I wasn’t really sure what to do with these shoots and then finally it hit me… This post is created to say my official goodbye to summer, because even though autumn doesn’t start until later this month, everyone is already tossing out their shorts and freaking out over Pumpkin Spice Lattes. So I have three outfits, and three degrees: the initial transition into summer (pulling out some jeans with an otherwise summery outfit) and then the more creative aspect of fall and finally a classic autumn outfit. Maybe that makes no sense, but read more to go in depth with me.
Good summer morning to you all! I’ve gotten a few new things here and there and I really wanted to put together this Summer Heat post because I have some not-too-shabby photoshoots to present. There’s three photoshoots: Ignition, Night Flare, and Extinguish. They’re all pretty different but there’s different aspects of all of them that just remind me of summer. Here’s a sneak peak. Hello hello! So I got a bunch of stuff from Victoria’s Secret to share with you guys… right now is the middle of the night of February 13th and tomorrow I’ll be taking pictures of my Valentine’s Day outfit and will be posting it shortly after that, but for now here’s some things accumulating from this week.
So the first thing I got was this 100% Cashmere striped sweater from eBay; it’s originally from Victoria’s Secret and I assume from their Supermodel Essentials collection back in the day. I’ve been wanting a cashmere sweater for SO long and when I found this one from Victoria’s Secret I thought that was just perfect since I love that dang place. Here’s some pictures from the outfit I put together. Read more to see the details of the outfit plus the other things I got!
