So far through this year I’ve been pretty proud of what I’ve been living up to. With my birthday in November, it’s pretty cool to turn a year older and then prepare myself for the next upcoming year. I finally turned 23 on the 15th, and I think I did really well for 2021 in all the months leading up to this one. For all of the year I kept a consistency writing on this blog (as well as on my other blogs), posting enough every month. I loved the photoshoots I did this year a lot, I think I did plenty through the spring time too, and this year was just a good requiem for me after the last couple of years. A lot of this year to me was about sobriety, which I’ve written about, and that really shaped me after a while. Once I hit the middle of the year, I finally got to a point where I was really loving my photoshoots every month, those were some of my favorites! I was just really proud of how they kept turning out. Hopefully next year I start getting into it more and posting more, but I’m making good progress as I go either way so I know I’ll be doing something good. I’m excited about my life even though it’s a lot of the same things sometimes these days, but I have this rhythm and I always really see where I’m going with it. I have this good attitude to me too and this persistence that I want to remind myself of, with my writing and creative flow. Sometimes I don’t really have that much to say I think, but when I’m even just writing in my journals and things a lot comes out that I couldn’t explain much until I started writing, but it makes so much sense. A lot of what’s inside of me I think is accessible when I point myself towards the right ideas, which I sometimes can’t express until I’m finally writing. Sometimes I start writing and it ends up sounding like I’m solving a problem as I go, and it ends up making so much sense when I get through it. One thing I’ve noticed that I’ve been leading up to the past couple of months is this energy in me that I keep wanting to express, and it’s interesting to see that evolve with me a bit the more I recognize it. That’s what I’ve been finding more and more in myself these days. So that’s a lot about me I’m finding in myself more as I go recently, but I had a pretty great birthday this time as well! I got to go shopping with my boyfriend one day and my mom another day, and I got new clothes to shoot and a couple jewelry pieces I’ll be posting about eventually too. I’m pretty excited about it, I’ve always wanted camouflage pants like this! It’ll be good to see how that goes, I still have so many outfit ideas for the next year. I really see myself these days and I know I have so much to put into my passions and things more & more, and I know I can just keep going and doing these things that I love. November was pretty good to me, and I know December will be one more post to wrap up the year, and I’m excited to see how that goes!

Appreciation, Lifestyle, my cousin Maren, playground, style blogger, Urban

I’m excited about this blog post and photoshoot, I had a lot of fun with my mom and Maren for it. Maren, my cousin, came over here to visit us last month to help us pack up our living room and kitchen, preparing for our remodel that’s finally happening. It was interesting, moving things and packing them up, and Maren worked pretty hard to help us, we we’re grateful to have her over. The two of us used to do these dance-off or music video types of videos way back in the day when we were a whole lot younger, like 2011 and before. One of the examples is on YouTube like this one, but we did a couple videos before that which I’ll eventually find (on my old laptop), and then I’ll post those on YouTube too. Anyway, so of course we had to do a photoshoot 10 years later when she comes to visit us here in Seattle again, so we went to a playground and got some good pictures. The lighting kept fluctuating so we have a few different kinds of lighting for this, but I love how the shoot turned out anyway. We all kind of took turns taking the pictures, standing on all the different playground things to play on. This was a good collaboration, I love what we did with it and how it turned out. The shoot was actually last month but I’m finally getting it up now, probably the last post I’ll do before I get my hair dyed again, so this is a good one. I’m catching up with all my shoots now too, once I get this up it’ll be a fresh slate for me to start shooting again, but I was taking a break from it for a while other than this one actually. We’ll see what comes next for the blog, but doing things like this one is always cool for me anyway, something unique that I can use to change up my perspectives. I don’t think I get too typical or repetitive with my shoots or posts, I think I’m always doing something new or good that I can use to frame myself better, but collaborations are always a unique icing for the cake that changes things up even more. They make it better for me to try with, something that speaks up differently and will never sound the same. I’m glad I’m finally all caught up with shoots this year, I’ve been behind for quite a while but I know exactly what to do next! Great news about this shoot with Maren, now let’s get into it finally.

It’s me again. I’m blogging for dayyyys. I’ve really been thinking a lot about the word Integrity lately and I wanted to touch on that a little bit. However, today is also the 1st birthday of these awesome flame boots that I got from Nasty Gal, and I wanted to also make this a duo-appreciation post where we could appreciate those boots in all their glory of just one year of Shopping For Days. These boots have kicked some ass! This will also give a sneak peak of my upcoming blogshoot, Dark Side, which will begin my whole new era.

Happy birthday, flame boots! Yes, I am definitely making a blog post solely about my fire boots & integrity.

They made their first appearance in Peachy & Keen, on May 10th, 2017.

Hey everyone, good morning loves! Kind of a crazy morning for me, I fell asleep before getting ready for bed then woke up and was like “oh I should get ready to sleep” but instead stayed up and ate chocolate. On the bright side, today I finally get to publish this awesome post, of which I’ve been working on for a lil over a month; it’s weird it’s been like a month since I even did a full outfit by myself with details yet I’ve posted lots of other stuff. So this is overdue. Finally another cute outfit to talk more about. I think some of y’all might think this is dope! The rest of you, I don’t really care. Lol, love you all! Let’s get into it though. Read More (below) to dive into this with me. Let’s just see what we have here…

curated box, fashion, review, StitchFix, subscription box, Urban

So I got my first StitchFix box in like late September but am just now blogging about it for some reason, but I got to tell you guys, this box is so CUTE. StitchFix is this service that sends curated boxes of clothes to you whenever you want which is perfect because I haven’t actually gone out of my way to buy clothes since like the summer, unless you count merch. So I got such cute things but I should’ve lowered my budget thing on my style quiz because I accidentally made it so like all my items were expensive making it so I could only keep one lol, but hey you can ask for anything you want in your box! Any price range, any style, anything, it’s really fun, and I’m excited for my second box. But I wanna show you guys all that I got in my first box and how I styled them/how they recommended I style them. It’s adorable.

If you wanna try out StitchFix too it’s super awesome, use my referral link!

“One thing I love more than being with you and that’s no ties, no drama in my life. Yeah I woke up like this, feelin’ like aw shit throw some bacon on it – One thing I love more than being with you…”

I am addicted to the song Bacon by Nick Jonas! So obsessed. That’s why I named this photoshoot Bacon. Dumb name for a photoshoot but that’s what the song is called, lol and I think the song fits the shoot pretty well. I’m in love with this song and the lyrics! I had such a super fun shoot and I can’t wait to get into it finally.

Beggin For Thread

“So I’ve got edges that scratch, and sometimes I don’t got a filter. But I’m so tired of eating all my misspoken words… I know my disposition gets confusing,” – Banks, Beggin For Thread

Banks is one of my current favorite artists. My favorite song by her is Trainwreck, but the song Beggin For Thread is so iconic! So I was listening to her Goddess album while I was trying to decide what to do next for a blog outfit. Finally I got the idea! Mostly I wanted to use the new goodies I got from Mirina Collections, but I also kind of wanted to stay casual. So I whipped up this look, denim on denim, kinda raw and if you notice the fact that all of it is ripped/distressed/cut then that’s a good observation. That’s why I used Beggin For Thread as a name. The lyric is “You got me beggin for thread to sew this hole that you ripped in my head,” and I don’t actually have any holes in my head that can be fixed with thread, but I thought it was interesting that I was listening to this as I was uploading this shoot to my laptop. My jeans are ripped, my jacket is distressed, and I chopped my tank top in half jaggedly like 4 years ago. And I added a blingy Mirina Collections necklace, and the look was complete!! I’m so happy with how it ended up. I took a bold statement blingy necklace, threw it on with some destroyed clothing and I felt so bomb. The look is bomb! Now finally I’m going to show it to y’all.

It’s a beautiful day outside. It really has been so beautiful lately in Seattle. That’s like…my favorite thing. I think spring is my favorite season. But anyway, y’all know that beautiful and genius artist Lights? I’ve been completely in love with her music since 2013 (I’ve liked it since 2010 but became in love with it in spring 2013, wow happy 4th year anniversary @ Lights) and she’s always been like…a voice and an inspiration for my life. The first CD I ever got from her was her Siberia Acoustic album, and it’s still in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. ANYWAY,  she’s getting ready to release new music so the other day she said everything on her online store was 50% off! I immediately went to check out the site and see what was still available. I got a shirt and a cool jacket… I wanted to show you the shirt. This is different from all my 65+ merch shirts, it’s camouflage with an orange collar. And on the shirt says “Show me that your love will never change” I LOVE that lyric! Cactus in the Valley is one of my favorite songs by her. This shirt is beautiful, extremely comfy, and I want to show you my photoshoot for it!

So yes, it’s yet another graphic tee outfit. Oh well, don’t be mad about it. This one is extra fun! Continue reading to see more in depth.

Winging It

What a crazy morning so far, how’s everyone? Today I have another really fun look. I call this Winging It, for a lot of reasons. First of all, I really wasn’t sure what to put with this bodysuit. I tried jeans, I tried various skirts, and some pants, but really was pretty stumped. In the beginning Ally was like “What about those one chained leggings?” But I was like nah bodysuits don’t usually look good with leggings. BUT, I found some random belt, and tried the leggings on with it, and it actually worked really well! So props to Ally. So yeah that was definitely me winging it…I had to try on 80 things before finding something that worked haha. Also, this is like my new FAVE pair of lashes by Velour Lashes, and they’re called #WINGING. Love it!
