Hello loves. On the 20th I got to see Portugal. The Man again in concert! Last time I saw them was when they toured with Cage the Elephant. They were great and it was beautiful. I shot my outfit after I got home from the concert so you bet my makeup was half worn off and I was tired af but I really liked the outfit so I wanted to capture it. I went to the concert and bought the hat and then wore it for the duration of the night and thought it looked SO awesome with my Linkin Park shirt and Guess Jeans. Then there’s the merch shirt I bought, a gorgeous white art piece. Let’s check them out.

Thank you so much for changing my life as I grew into who I am, and thank you for always taking the words out of my mouth and detangling the thoughts in my head. Thank you for all of the times you were alive, and thank you for letting your influence impact my life in the best way possible. Thank you for everything that you’ve done, and for eveything that you still do as your legacy and your words live on. I have so much love for you, you really have changed my life. Linkin Park is very very important to me. This is extremely hard for me to even process…I’m in such shock.

I am addicted to the song Bacon by Nick Jonas! So obsessed. That’s why I named this photoshoot Bacon. Dumb name for a photoshoot but that’s what the song is called, lol and I think the song fits the shoot pretty well. I’m in love with this song and the lyrics! I had such a super fun shoot and I can’t wait to get into it finally.
Holy shit. Today I felt really aimless and bored with life and I was sad because nobody was wanting to hang out, but for some reason I had the itch to actually begin reading my #GIRLBOSS book by Sophia Amoruso! I’m so glad I did, I took the book and some kombucha outside and sat in the sun (but not direct sun) and read for at least a couple hours. I’m crazy inspired. Sophia’s Nasty Gal Vintage business started out in a similar way that this blog started out for me, and now I know I CAN take it to the next level. I want to start by getting a new camera! I need to actually start moving up because there’s no time to waste with my passion. I am so incredibly happy to be able to be able to do the things I love and I know I’m going to thrive in the future and I’m just…Incredibly excited!
I started watching the netflix series Girlboss based on how Nasty Gal was created, and holy shit! Like I got to Jenna’s house at like 11 pm because she and I were both kinda in bed “recovering” or just rejuvenatnign from her tonsil surgery last week and my wisdom teeth extraction a couple of days ago. It’s so convenient how Jenna Bean and I like share such kindred spirits because then she and I were able to help keep the company where we kinda dozed off for a while multiple times because of sleeping off the recovery suff, because we were vegetables. Livin’ the vegetable life, sometimes complaining a bit about how life is difficult when we get things ripped out of our throat areas but not letting it get us down, just letting us vent it out and breathing in the good vibes we create, she really is a strong & beautiful soul!
Anyway I guess update is I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday and I’m recovering pretty fast and well, even got to go to the Nektar Juice Bar today which is my favorite thing to consume ever, and I got an acai bowl that was amazing as always and a very interesting smoothie! So how that will affect my photoshoot plans is a good question, I don’t really know, because I did have a couple exciting blogshoot plans. Collaborations and ideas! But I just posted a little around now anyway, so I guess don’t even worry about it, more is coming.
The Koko Kollection! I wish I shot more with this collection, and I actually still might. But for now here’s the random days where I wore something from the Koko Kollection, it took 8 days but HOW COOL IS THIS COLLECTION It’s from Kylie Cosmetics. First there was the original quartet of lippies with 3 matte liquid lips and one gloss, and then they released a palette and another 3 matte lippies and another lipgloss. My favorite from this whole collection has got to be Okurrr, even though the name is dumb af. I also really love Doll, Damn Gina and Gorg! Like half the days I also used the Koko face palette with the lip. By the way – on Khloe Kardashian’s birthday they were giving away the first 4 Koko lips for free if you bought something from the Koko Kollection, but the entire Koko Kollection was also on sale so for all of this (8 lippies & a face palette) I only paid $64 & got the ENTIRE collection!
I’ve had a weird case of writer’s block these past few days. Yesterday morning I got my wisdom teeth taken out and that was kind of a curve ball, so for a solid 36 hours I laid in my bed and tried to sleep and heal and all that crap. I think I did a not-bad job, tomorrow’s day 3 but I’m not in too much agony anymore. I’m listening to some incredible songs (like Homemade Dynamite by Lorde) and typing this and getting ready to take a shower and to also finish this blog post. That’s tonight’s itinerary. And it’s actually pretty exciting. I hate having to sit on bed rest for like evs but that’s a choice, and I’m choosing now to venture into the world even if my head or gums hurt. Ya know? I wanna show you guys this one test-shoot I did, I called it July because it was just so July af. And I know I have past posts like “New-July” but that could be some sort of new July or something but this is the pure essence of my summer, the beauty of 2017, the flowers blooming in my little boat of feelings–it’s a completely different concept. I used to associate July heavily with my ex but now I’m not even really thinking about her, because life is brand new and everyday is another conversation with my intuition and the blessings of my past, present and future. Or something like that anyway. Let’s get into the shoot. THIS IS WHAT LIFE SHOULD BE LIKE!
