When I first heard Lights’ song Ice in like 2009 or 2010, I fell in love. I watched the music video all the time, and totally fell in love with this beautiful creature that is Lights. But somehow she kind of fell off my radar until March 2013 when I found out she was playing an acoustic show here in Seattle so I quickly ordered her most recent album from the time (Siberia Acoustic) and fell IN LOVE with it! I loved her acoustics even more than her electro-pops! So I ordered all her discography and from then on she was (and is) on of my all-time favorites. And now I wanna talk a little bit about her album Skin&Earth which ranked as my #3 favorite album of the year 2017 (it literally won an award I made up, I’ll post about that next month) I got this cool pre-order bundle and fell in love with the album and blah blah blah…Wasn’t listening to it as much but yesterday I was trying to figure out what album to play while I got ready and shot my outfit, and I instantly knew it had to be Skin&Earth. This album brought up my spirits, I was reminded of why I love it so much, and it influenced this shoot in even some quirky ways. So a main chunk of this post is about this album and how amazing it is and it’s inspiration to me, but the other parts are some other really cool stuff including Danon taking me to the Sky View of the Columbia Center in Seattle, the tallest building on the west coast or something! But yeah there’s the September bundle of Lights merch I got that I scattered throughout this post, then there’s my Kicks photoshoot which is the like…main shoot and also inspired and broken-down by each song of this album, info on all my outfit and makeup deets, and of course wrapped up every little part with a sprinkle of Skin&Earth. Good morning world. Today is a post that is sort of over-due but at the same time I’m glad I took the time I needed. On October 16th I saw Bebe Rexha for the second time and not only met Bebe that night, but Danon too. I’ve blogged about our crazy meeting before but this post is all about all the merch I got from the concert, including the VIP things. Not only that, but I happened to buy 2 shirts at the concert, both in size Medium unisex (that’s all they had left) and one happened to fit Danon, SO this crazy kid agreed to do a shoot with me! Crazy how I got two of them and crazy that we were able to do this shoot and…everything is crazy but totally completely awesome. So yeah I’m excited to share my merch with you, because there’s so much about this night to love. This picture is a perfect example because not only are he and I wearing the Bebe shirts but in the top left corner is my VIP poster that I got and had Bebe sign at the concert.

October 29th, 2007 – the day my life changed forever.

I saw Miley Cyrus live in her Hannah Montana tour and it was my very first concert I ever attended, and now it’s the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of that!! On the 27th I see Kesha (which I will post about separately if I haven’t already) whom has been my fave since Rainbow came out and then after Kesha it will be my 50th concert attended, yes I have kept track FIFTY! It’s insane! That’s not until the end of November though but I had to mention that. Anyway, I did a really fun shoot with my very first ever concert tee and now I’m going to show it off to you guys and tell you about the AMAZING decade I’ve had of live music!

Hanging out with Bebe Rexha, seeing her front row on the first night of her new tour, meeting some really cool friends plus some awesome merch; this was definitely one of the best nights of my life. Like, everything about this night was so perfect and amazing and I’m SO SO grateful!! I have so so much to post about it so this post might come up around a week after the concert (it was on the 16th of October) so that’s a little delay but I’ll do it as quickly as possible! #Demi4Fabletics 4 Days

Once upon a time, Demi Lovato dropped a collection with athletic-wear’s uprising star, Fabletics (co-founded by Kate Hudson). I think it’s a lot of because Demi isn’t conventionally skinny but she is really fit and amazing in the gym & other athletic-type places, and so the collection featured lots of awesome Demi-related things with wordss like “Confident”, “Unbroken”, etc from her song lyrics. It was really cool, lots of t-shirts tied up and leggings with interesting patterns, and by the time I discovered this collection IT WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY sold out. AHhhh I was soooo sad! Because this is like, merch and gym clothes in the same outfit! MADE FOR ME. But later Fabletics announced that since everyone was requesting like crazy that they bring some Demi stuff back, Fabletics did one better-they dropped a SECOND Demi collection! These things are all legit merchandise because it says “Demi Fabletics Lovato” on the removable tag and on all the clothing tags. It’s so cool and they totally re-upped on their photoshoots for the collection, Demi SLAYED in all of them! I’m not sure if Demi did much designing for this collection or if it’s just her name on it, but either way, I’m SO sold.

And now, ladies and gentlemen and cats and animals, I’ll show you the 4 outfits I bought from Demi’s line! The thing about Fabletics is they sell things by the outfit, like you can buy things individually but their whole thing is to have cool gym outfits. So I bought 4 outfits and also one pair of leggings (the top was sold out :(((((( I didn’t include this in my photoshoots) and started with the first photoshoot on September 9th. So I went to the Tacoma (Seattle) show at the Tacoma Dome like the 5th of this month and it was INSANELY amazing!! I don’t know why I’ve procrastinated so much with finally getting this post up but I think it’s because I really wanted to make it thorough and so I needed a fat chunk of time to get the shit together. So yes, I finally saw Lady Gaga. It was one of the most amazing concert experiences I’ve EVER went to. It’s in my top 3, out of 44 concerts! So here, let’s post about this concert plus the outfit I wore to it and the merch shirt I got from it!

Rest in peace Chester, much love for you. Thank you so much for changing my life as I grew into who I am, and thank you for always taking the words out of my mouth and detangling the thoughts in my head. Thank you for all of the times you were alive, and thank you for letting your influence impact my life in the best way possible. Thank you for everything that you’ve done, and for eveything that you still do as your legacy and your words live on. I have so much love for you, you really have changed my life. Linkin Park is very very important to me. This is extremely hard for me to even process…I’m in such shock.

So thankful for this band and everything they’ve done. I just wanted to look back at some of the shoots I’ve done with their merch.

Mid-July, Forever Wild

I’ve had a weird case of writer’s block these past few days. Yesterday morning I got my wisdom teeth taken out and that was kind of a curve ball, so for a solid 36 hours I laid in my bed and tried to sleep and heal and all that crap. I think I did a not-bad job, tomorrow’s day 3 but I’m not in too much agony anymore. I’m listening to some incredible songs (like Homemade Dynamite by Lorde) and typing this and getting ready to take a shower and to also finish this blog post. That’s tonight’s itinerary. And it’s actually pretty exciting. I hate having to sit on bed rest for like evs but that’s a choice, and I’m choosing now to venture into the world even if my head or gums hurt. Ya know? I wanna show you guys this one test-shoot I did, I called it July because it was just so July af. And I know I have past posts like “New-July” but that could be some sort of new July or something but this is the pure essence of my summer, the beauty of 2017, the flowers blooming in my little boat of feelings–it’s a completely different concept. I used to associate July heavily with my ex but now I’m not even really thinking about her, because life is brand new and everyday is another conversation with my intuition and the blessings of my past, present and future. Or something like that anyway. Let’s get into the shoot. THIS IS WHAT LIFE SHOULD BE LIKE!

Last weekend, I wore something pretty interesting. Honestly, the outfit was…just so Abby. It was so completely in tune with me, and that’s not a bad or good thing. It was a strange outfit and I’m still not even sure if I was able to pull it off, but it’s definitely something that I would wear & it definitely spoke volumes. There were some little pieces to this look that were really annoying, but mostly it was a super fun outfit & I’m glad I wore it. I only got a few pictures, but I thought I’d show them anyway.

Diary of a Shopping Enthusiast #3

I don’t think people even realize how crazy that New York trip was to me. My boring life, my lack of lust for life in my “photoshoots”, and yet I proved so many things for myself.

Okay, so first off: I was going to Teen Vogue in NY and so I had to pack up for the weekend.  So the night before, I was sitting there with Ally and I realized I needed to pack my clothes for the trip. I grabbed a few gorgeous shirts, with lace and mesh and all that jazz, just because I loved them. Then I grabbed some typical bottoms, including some bold pieces…and I totally brought those red long pants with the lace halter top and how the colors match perfectly its like crazy! I didn’t try any of this on before going! It’s amazing…

So I wrote that on May 19th as a part of this Diary of a Shopping Enthusiast. Honestly what was I even talking about? Yeah the New York trip was super cool, and yes it is cool that I ended up with such great outfits even though I just grabbed a bunch of random things, but I always do that. (By the way, as I write this it’s like May 31st now.) Heck, I mean last Tuesday I had to bring 4 outfits for my headshots too and all I did was take a ton of shirts and pants and shoes and put them into a bag really quickly because I was running late. Turns out I picked SUCH great pieces! My photographer picked out outfits from the bunch of random clothes that I had, and they all turned out to be dope. One of my favorite dresses (a cute blue one) went so well with my retro-esque floral chunky sandal heel shoe things. Hahaha it looked so good, and we found a cool alley and I can’t wait to see the pictures. Continuing reading to see a bunch of the pictures that they took professionally in Seattle last month!
