Hey guys, it’s finally time for this outfit I put together from one of my other birthday presents from last month. It’s totally my new gold Gucci belt that I got from my mom for my 24th birthday! I put together this cool gold outfit with it to finally do my post for it before the year is over. I included my signed Felly shirt that I got from meeting him at his concert in Seattle in February, which was so awesome! I only got two shirts from concerts this year since I have so many, but I’m glad I was finally able to get this one into this photoshoot before the year was over! This shirt is signed in (my) black Sharpie on the back of the shirt (in this white circle on the back). I also wore my big gold boots and these leather pants that I have from Nasty Gal from way back in the day, and some other merch hat as well. I loved this look, it was a pretty good one! I wear gold sometimes and it rocks, and I love how I put this look together, I think it’s perfect with all that there is there together. The makeup look was a pretty good one, too, I love how that’s turning out. I named this photoshoot after a song Felly did on his recent album, Young Fel 2, called ‘Pot of Gold’ which is on one of my playlists I haven’t mentioned much before, that I started mid last year, called Untitled. It’s a pretty good song! I of course named the blog post Gucci Gold though, which references to a Gucci post I did in 2016 that I’ll mention more later. I also wore my Gucci Guilty Eau perfume with the outfit as well as a Gucci lipstick from back in the day with this look. I love all that I have from the brand! I included 3 Gucci items total I think for this look. Definitely go ahead and read more of this under the picture. Thanks for checking me out!

I’m excited about how today went! It’s the 15th of November today which was my 24th birthday, and I’m happy I made it to this part of the year again finally. One of the things I got for my birthday this year was from my dad, and it was this yellow plaid dress I was wearing below for my photoshoot. It’s from Avril Lavigne’s second drop & collection with the brand Killstar and it’s super rad. I really love it, it comes with a black mesh shirt that goes under it! I wore it with my red hair redyed and my extensions + red lipstick that I got recently from Kesha’s beauty line, Kesha Rose Beauty – it’s called the Raising Hell lipstick! I love this one too. Overall I love how the day went and I got a couple more presents from my family! I’ll eventually blog about the other fashion item I got from my mom and then that was pretty much it. I think my look turned out pretty rad and I’m excited to finally be 24. It’ll be a pretty good year for me I’m sure, and I can’t wait to see how it goes in 2023. For now, let’s get into my birthday post! I mainly spent this one with my family, but I appreciate where I’m at in life.

far through this year I’ve been pretty proud of what I’ve been living up to. With my birthday in November, it’s pretty cool to turn a year older and then prepare myself for the next upcoming year. I finally turned 23 on the 15th, and I think I did really well for 2021 in all the months leading up to this one. For all of the year I kept a consistency writing on this blog (as well as on my other blogs), posting enough every month. I loved the photoshoots I did this year a lot, I think I did plenty through the spring time too, and this year was just a good requiem for me after the last couple of years. A lot of this year to me was about sobriety, which I’ve written about, and that really shaped me after a while. Once I hit the middle of the year, I finally got to a point where I was really loving my photoshoots every month, those were some of my favorites! I was just really proud of how they kept turning out. Hopefully next year I start getting into it more and posting more, but I’m making good progress as I go either way so I know I’ll be doing something good. I’m excited about my life even though it’s a lot of the same things sometimes these days, but I have this rhythm and I always really see where I’m going with it. I have this good attitude to me too and this persistence that I want to remind myself of, with my writing and creative flow. Sometimes I don’t really have that much to say I think, but when I’m even just writing in my journals and things a lot comes out that I couldn’t explain much until I started writing, but it makes so much sense. A lot of what’s inside of me I think is accessible when I point myself towards the right ideas, which I sometimes can’t express until I’m finally writing. Sometimes I start writing and it ends up sounding like I’m solving a problem as I go, and it ends up making so much sense when I get through it. One thing I’ve noticed that I’ve been leading up to the past couple of months is this energy in me that I keep wanting to express, and it’s interesting to see that evolve with me a bit the more I recognize it. That’s what I’ve been finding more and more in myself these days. So that’s a lot about me I’m finding in myself more as I go recently, but I had a pretty great birthday this time as well! I got to go shopping with my boyfriend one day and my mom another day, and I got new clothes to shoot and a couple jewelry pieces I’ll be posting about eventually too. I’m pretty excited about it, I’ve always wanted camouflage pants like this! It’ll be good to see how that goes, I still have so many outfit ideas for the next year. I really see myself these days and I know I have so much to put into my passions and things more & more, and I know I can just keep going and doing these things that I love. November was pretty good to me, and I know December will be one more post to wrap up the year, and I’m excited to see how that goes!

It’s me again. I’m blogging for dayyyys. I’ve really been thinking a lot about the word Integrity lately and I wanted to touch on that a little bit. However, today is also the 1st birthday of these awesome flame boots that I got from Nasty Gal, and I wanted to also make this a duo-appreciation post where we could appreciate those boots in all their glory of just one year of Shopping For Days. These boots have kicked some ass! This will also give a sneak peak of my upcoming blogshoot, Dark Side, which will begin my whole new era.

Happy birthday, flame boots! Yes, I am definitely making a blog post solely about my fire boots & integrity.

They made their first appearance in Peachy & Keen, on May 10th, 2017.

Dear Old Man Jenkins,

05 Dad's Birthday (2)

These kids and their flying machines. I love and adore you so much more than I ever can express. Everything in our lives right now is scary and complicated and in the air, but you still do so much for me. When I got to live with you in our apartment and grew to know you more as an adult and not as a child, I respected you more and more every day. I see that you’re human but I & everyone I know of thinks you’re a pure soul and we’re baffled as to how. Every single day I wake up and even if on the surface I’m hating on myself for the situation, I really do love myself. I stick up for myself. I watch other people humiliate their worth and I realize they didn’t have you as a cheerleader when they needed it that I did.

HAPPY 18th ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR BIRTH, MY LOVE!

As you were blooming in Audra’s beautiful belly you were welcomed into the world as Ivy Katherine Green, which also became the most perfect name for your music to release for the moment or two. It’s cool to have your identity separated like that, but not in a way where you’re different people. You’re also Ally Smith, who looks like your mother Adriana too (even though you don’t have her same genetics) you grew up with all these traits that you’ve been finding and seeking and learning and growing about for 18 freaking years and you’re really becoming this beautiful human – no longer able at all to be considered an ’empty shell’, but when I listen to you patiently with no expectations I hear the ocean so cogently, as if that’s really what you are. You’re full of so much fucking magic but it’s not quite ocean magic – you definitely have gotten a lot of magic from the ocean and based a lot of your life and songs off of the ocean. It’s your favorite place, angel. But when I look at you you’re not even a shell. Not full nor empty, not really anything to do with a shell, but yet you encased yourself in a shell like a turtle, truly. That’s what was really happening.

You lifted the shell and you let me inside, and I walked in to find the place wayyyyy bigger and more complicated and beautiful than you make it look on the outside. And you said Abby, go ahead and learn about me, go ahead and learn and see. So the journey began, one of the millions of times that the journey began…and here we are, almost 3 years later, finding different things in our shells and breathing different words in our embraces. I love you, Alexandra Marie Devon Smith. Happy 18th rotation around the sun. Happy legality of buying your own cigarettes. Let’s rule this world hand in hand, babygirl.

Today is a special day. February 8 & 9th, 2015, I posted my very first blog post on this site. I called the outfit Original Gangstress and about a year or two ago I thought it would be cool to make a look called Gangstress where I can also throw it back and talk a lot about that first blog post and how it came to fruition. I didn’t come out of the womb as a gangstress. I always had the idea to blog this exact way, but didn’t know how exactly to go aboout it. It’s like having something to say but just now learning the words to say it, the phrases to explain it. So honestly, now that I’ve figured myself out, I’ve got things pinned down and I know who I am, and I’m this badass Gangstress and I love to dance around and smile and live this amazing life, and I love that a big part of my life is my blogging.

2018 style, fashion, new year, style video

It’s about time I posted about how life changing 2017 was! I’ve been meaning to make a post with my shoots from the year put into a video, and I’m comin’ at you now on Feb 2nd having just finished the video. I did a video for my 2016 shoots, but honestly, that was so boring. Like, not even I can watch it, even though I’m one of those people who repeatedly watches my own videos. So for this one, my goal was to make it watchable, at least for a bit. This is only video #1 and there will be a part two whenever I get around to it, because these are ONLY my shoots from January – July 2017. August-December is where it’s at with some of the best shoots I’ve ever done in my life, and I’m excited for that. Anyway, the beginning part of 2017 was life changing as well. I’m really proud of myself man. And now I present, the My Prerogative project, 2017 pt 1, ishopfordays *insert lots of heart emojis*

Scorpio Season

Scorpio Season truly is supposed to be the time where I’m at my peak. FIRST – this sounds sad at first, but I promise you I’m following it up with some SERIOUS positivity. Anyway, I’m supposed to feel my strongest, do the most elite things, and challenge myself to degrees that make growing a regular & constant thing. But here I am right now sitting in Starbucks and I’m miserable — can you believe that, miserable?? Like, with all that I have and have been given and I’m capable of being miserable? I don’t even understand how. So here I am in my head listening to the faint sounds of Starbucks and I gotta tell you guys, it’s my fault. FAULT is a strong word, and no I am not being hard on myself. I’m being tender with myself and trying to understand where I’m coming from and how I can back to a peaceful mindset. Although, it’s okay that I was miserable, and it’s okay that I took a deep breath and finally got to Starbucks and ordered a tall latte and oatmeal…It’s the best I could do to take care of myself (we have like no money right now) but I gotta say I just really really truly want to cry, with all of my heart. Something that started out as such a fantastic day ended in me not being able to do anything not even being able to watch Netflix or Hulu and I gotta say, days like this are going to happen. A lot of times I’ll have great starts but a lot of times I’ll fall on my ass or face. That’s going to happen and just because I can’t predict it doesn’t mean I can’t be prepared for it, like honestly. This blog post starts out with mostly just me complaining but I’m telling you right now that I understand what’s happening within myself & around me and I see that a lot of my flaws have these holes in them where I could’ve prevented the fall, but that also doesn’t mean I need to point fingers at myself. Because I don’t. Taking responsibility for myself, my actions, my hunger and my state of mind is one thing but that doesn’t mean I need to be hard on myself or add anymore unnecessary negativity to my life. Because that’s bull!

And as I write this, I feel myself uplifting. There’s a lot of power in understanding things and there’s a LOT of power in understanding myself. I’ve found that out in so many ways. So now I want to show you guys some shoots from the past month, some interesting peaks of Scorpio Season. I know that a lot of this just sounds like something that would be on my Worry Just Enough blog but honestly, I’m just as powerful with my fashion and shopping as I am with being in my head and worrying about things. Honestly, probably more so. But I want to show you a power shoot that was totally experimental (never really done anything like it) plus a completely random Halloween shoot where I was honestly just as comforable/in my element. “What were you for Halloween?” …. “Idk but it looked cool.” And now, after a longass intro, I will dive in. I dive down and things look up.

Happy birthday to me! On the 15th, I finally turned 18 and did some awesome things to celebrate it. I’ll tell y’all all about it. First, here’s my day-before-my-birthday outfit/photoshoot, that I did on the 14th. I was really excited for the 15th and dang was it fun, I not only spent the day at the spa but I also went to the Cheesecake Factory and Gucci! That was a lot of fun. My main birthday present was my new Gucci bracelet, and you’ll definitely see that in a lot of upcoming shoots. So now presenting, Heart Pumps Blood!
